What is a token approval?

An approval grants a smart contract (like a DEX or dApp) permission to spend tokens from your wallet. Unlimited approvals are a common attack vector — if the contract is compromised, your tokens can be drained.

Are all approvals dangerous?

No. Approvals to audited, widely-used protocols (Uniswap, Aave, etc.) are generally safe. The risk comes from approvals to unknown, unverified, or malicious contracts.

Can I revoke approvals here?

This tool only shows your current approvals — revoking is a wallet transaction we don’t initiate. For EVM chains (Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BSC), use revoke.cash. For Solana and Tron, revoke from your wallet app’s connected-apps/permissions manager.

Why do I see approvals I don't remember giving?

Many dApps request approvals silently as part of the transaction flow. Some approvals have no expiry and persist indefinitely until manually revoked.
